French Reflective Scarves

Ah, the French and their scarves, always wonderful, always novel.

A friend of mine sent a link to Rayon Jaune (in French), a new company north of Lyon, near the Swiss border, which offers these wonderful reflective scarves. As seen above, the idea is that there is a "normal" side one wears in town, and a reflective side that's meant for while one is on a bike.

The leaf print shown above is my favorite.

This dot option is my second-favorite, that's pretty wonderful.

However, I'm not sure either of them compare to these dragon vests, which may be my favorite safety-gear yet. Is it wrong to want a grown-up sized dragon safety vest? Yes, I'm a nerd.

Scarf - Gloves - Boots

She's looking cute on that bike, even in this cold. I'm guessing that we're seeing a pair of tights peeking between her trousers and her boots. That's a great trick for staying warm in New England, on and off a bike.

Add a scarf

This lady knows - take a simple classic bike, add a simple classic outfit (LOVE those ballerina flats!) and then add a scarf. That's what I noticed first.

She's turned her head to say something to the cabbie, it seemed like a friendly chat.

Summer Cruiser

The rain here just won't quit, and I have no new photos.
I'm digging into the archive here to show you a girl I spotted in the South End, looking oh-so-summery.
It's summertime now, won't the rain please stop?

Natural Elegance

She looked so elegant in the late spring evening light, I think it was the drape of her shawl and her headscarf. Her mode of transport, the clothes she has chosen, I expect this lady is quietly elegant in the rest of her life too.

Autumn announces its arrival

There's a chill in the air. We're not sure whether to wear a sundress like usual or bust out the sweater and scarf. Me, I hold on to summer 'till I'm shivering.
