I find that woman a mite irritating. Nice legs - nice everything - but her mannerisms. Errrg...
...and there are way hotter photos of her going around. ;)

I just graduated college and started working, so this might be my desktop for a while

Is there a way to save the voicemail files from my iPhone 4?
DiskAid will do it. It's not expensive. I paid $9.90. And you don't have to jailbreak.

My first computer stored data on audio cassette tape. Anyone know how much data that is?
In theory you could have had petabytes of data if your cassette tape was long enough! :) However, at the data rates used by early personal computers a 90-minute cassette tape might hold about 600K of data.
The real limit was the capacity of your computer to hold data read off the cassette tape. For example, the Sinclair ZX-81 had a minimum capacity of 1K and a maximum of 56K, so that's the most you could read off of a cassette tape and into memory.

I think you can only do that in Text Mode with iChat AV. Audio and Video Modes are for 1-to-1 connections only.

Let's kick this month off right with some excellent October desktops.
As per before, ground rules apply.
Monthly Desktops Guidelines:
For large images use [timg] rather than [img]
Use attachments when necessary so images don't disappear when they are removed from their source
When possible, include links to the full-sized original so others can download them. If you don't want to share, state that in your posts so others don't continue to ask for links.
When quoting a post with images, remove the images to reduce clutter
Previous Iterations: September Desktops (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1005154) - August Desktops (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=981540) - June Desktops (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?p=10008638#post10008638) - May Desktops (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?p=9808053#post9808053)
I'll start with a photo-chop of my last photo (http://att.macrumors.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=253102&d=1285269067):

Having trouble computing what exactly is "overdone" about the UI of this app. It is simple, clean and well organized.
If you so desire, help a brother out and explain what is "overdone" about the UI?
Steve
He did things the Apple way and put design before function.
Tweetie 2 is beautiful, but not having push notifications is pathetic. Whats even more pathetic is his excuse that "its borderline impossible to do it reliably". Thats funny, because I have SimplyTweet & Echofon Pro and they both push great!

I'm opening like 7 tabs in Safari (2 of which are youtubes) and others are regular text-based pages. I also open iTunes with music on and MSN messenger. My Spec is below (MacBook Pro). Why is safari runs extremely slow and used up 1GB+ of Ram? I wouldn't have expected 4GB of Ram to run out this quickly.
anyone knows the solutions? thanks :D

Stick around. There's cooler stuff on the way ;)
Hmm...are Address Book and iCal going to get the same treatment? It would be great for .Mac to finally have an offering that competes with what Yahoo, Google, etc. have been providing for free for quite some time...
...or could it go even farther? What about an online version of iWeb, where you could edit and publish webpages directly from the browser, with drag-n-drop and all that goodness.
Oooh - I just started salivating over iPhone integration possibilities!!!! How about having the iPhone sync with .Mac directly - even if you're not anywhere near your computer? Or how about the iPhone having mobile blogging software that will publish blog entries to a blog on your .Mac website? These are all features that other phones and websites offer, but the difference for Apple would be the seamlessness of the Mac/iPhone/.Mac integraton...

It is true that some information that came from normal interrogation approaches at Guantanamo did lead to information that was beneficial in this instance. But it was not harsh treatment and it was not waterboarding.”

Hi all,
I'm trying to connect to my work server (Windows Server 2008 R2) via Remote Desktop Connection for Mac on my iMac at home.
Until recently, the work server was running Windows Server 2002 but since the upgrade to 2008 I get an error when I try to connect to the work IP Address... Help!
Cheers.

Out of curiosity, do you visit Fark much?
Anyway, I can't understand why the high level of piracy (with movies) when Netfilx and Blockbuster Online exist (although you could just copy the movie from there).
