Finally a collection from New York worthy of SUMMER. All i've seen is white, floaty, sheer, white, floaty, sheer, red, floaty sheer...until this! The 'Marc Jacobs Collection' from the friday night was a bounty of berry colours, 70s attributes, silky fabrics and huuuge corsages. It was very mature. This is why i LOVE Marc by Marc Jacobs, it's much more wearable, much more girly, and super colourful!
So the 70's influence continued with a wide leg here and there and a cloche hat or seven. It had its fair share of sheer and floaty too, but the fun element made it stand out from everything pre-MJ. Multi coloured stripes on jumpsuits and trapeze dresses - each with their own defined waist. Bralettes, A-line skirts and cheekily short playsuits. J'adore. Fabulously bright tangerine and Lemon colour palette with hint of khaki and camel (of course) and a delightfully adorable injection of pastelly pinks and dove greys into the mix completes this summer look thats put a spring into my NYFW step.
