Emma Watson's/ Three Sister news

The Providence media, Projo, is getting in on the action concerning Emma's involvement with the play, Three Sisters. They even contacted the university and when that didn't work they went to the theater itself where practice was being held. Good luck to Emma and everybody involved in the play.  BTW, the play is not open to the public anymore according to the PW website. It's only open to Brown ID holders: Students, Faculty, and Staff.

Projo:

PROVIDENCE -- "Harry Potter" actress and Brown University freshman Emma Watson is scheduled to take to a campus stage this weekend in a student-directed production of Anton Chehkov's "Three Sisters."

Or so say several Web sites. The university isn't talking. Much.

Asked about the rumors on Tuesday, Brown spokeswoman Sarah Kidwell said she was actually on her way to a meeting "to find out more about this,'' and promised to call a reporter back afterwards. She didn't.

On Wednesday, Kidwell would say only that she would be unable to help the reporter with the story.

Meanwhile, when another reporter visited the site of the rehearsal Tuesday night he was quickly ushered away by one of the student leaders. The student said he was aware of the Internet reports of Watson's involvement in the play but would not "confirm or deny" those reports.

Any comment, he said, would have to come from Brown University's public affairs office, aka, Sarah Kidwell.

The play is being produced by the school's Production Workshop, a non-profit student theater founded in 1960. The cast will perform shows Friday through Monday.

Unlike other workshop productions, this one is limited to Brown students, faculty and staff with school IDs. And tickets, which usually are available to the free shows to everyone at noon a day or two before a show, become available at midnight Wednesday.
